About Anastasiya and her studio
About Me and My Piano Studio
Music and teaching are not only my profession but also my passion. Although this is my professional activity and not a hobby, I derive great satisfaction from my work. My goal is to inspire my students to enjoy music and guide them toward success. I offer classical piano lessons for children from the age of 5 and for adults of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
My Education
I completed my studies at the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where I graduated as a pianist and specialist in historical keyboard instruments. I also hold a master’s degree from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in harpsichord and historical fortepiano performance.
My Experience
Since 2008, I have gained extensive experience in both teaching and performing. I have taught in schools and privately, gaining valuable insights into the individual learning process of students. As a performing musician, I have given solo recitals across Europe, Ukraine, and Russia, and collaborated with various chamber music ensembles and orchestras. I have also worked as a piano accompanist for singers and instrumentalists, enriching my teaching approach.
Successful Performances and Exams
My students successfully perform at concerts and achieve excellent results in exams. These experiences help them build self-confidence and further develop their musical and stage skills.
My Teaching Method
My vision is to provide my students with a solid foundation in the musical world. Therefore, my piano lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and interests. I carefully select teaching methods and repertoire, paying special attention to the development of individual musical skills while ensuring that lessons remain enjoyable and engaging.
Final Note
I look forward to working with you and hope that our collaboration will bear many musical fruits.
At the beginning of the new academic year, please take a moment to read the general terms and conditions of my Piano Studio.
Terms and Conditions
General Terms and Conditions of Anastasiya’s Piano Studio
Location:
Lessons are held at the teacher’s beautiful piano studio at Laan van Nieuw Oost Indië 235, 2593 BP, The Hague.
Instrument:
In my Studio lessons are given on a beautiful acoustic Baldwin piano.
Students must have access to a piano at home to practice, which can be either an acoustic piano or a digital piano with weighted keys.
Practice:
Students are expected to practice at home what they have learned during the lesson to ensure optimal progress.
Important Rule:
NB! Strict rule: Parents and adult students must ensure that the student’s nails are cut short before each lesson, so no lesson time is wasted cutting nails. Playing the piano with long nails is dangerous, disrupts hand positioning, and makes learning ineffective.
Performances:
There are at least 2 student concerts per year, taking place in December and in June or July at a beautiful location where parents, family, and friends are welcome. After the concerts, progress and focus points are discussed with parents, and students can receive a written report. Attending other concerts is also recommended, as it helps to gain inspiration and further develop musical skills.
Organizational Matters:
Questions about the organization and execution of student concerts and recommended events will be shared in the general WhatsApp group.
Separate WhatsApp Group for Adult Students:
If there is sufficient interest, a separate WhatsApp group can be created for adult students. This group would serve as a platform for exchanging experiences, sheet music, and ideas among adult piano enthusiasts studying in my studio. Additionally, the group can be used for discussing concert visits, organizing events or other meetings, sharing impressions and ideas, and addressing various questions. This can be beneficial for both advanced adult students and those who are just starting or returning to piano playing after a long break.

First option:
You will receive 4 invoices per year.
• Early September: Invoice for August and September.
• Late September: Invoice for October, November, and December.
• Late December: Invoice for January, February, and March.
• Late March: Invoice for April, May, June, and July.
The tuition fees for 38 or 76 lessons per year are to be paid in 10 monthly installments: always before the 3rd of the month, from September 2024 to June 2025.
Second option:
You will receive an invoice at the end of each month for the following month. Monthly tuition fees must still be paid before the 3rd of the month, from September 2024 to July 2025. This option is convenient if, for example, you would like to add lessons during school holidays.
Refund Policy:
The teacher may cancel a maximum of two lessons per year due to illness. For each additional absence due to illness, the teacher is obliged to refund 100% of the lesson fee for missed lessons. The teacher is obliged to refund 100% of the lesson fee for lessons not given for reasons other than illness. No refunds will be given for lessons missed by the student due to illness, extra holidays, unforeseen circumstances, etc. This is important because my time and schedule have already been reserved.
Holidays:
There are no lessons during school holidays. Holidays will not be charged. If a student attends an international school, holiday dates may differ, but the number of lessons remains the same.
Online Lessons:
If lessons cannot be held in the studio due to unforeseen circumstances, such as government measures like a lockdown, student’s cold/illness, or teacher’s cold/illness, lessons will take place via Zoom or Facetime.
Termination:
A notice period of one month applies to terminate the lessons.
